SEEKING
Equity stage manager for SHOOTING CELEBRITIES.
World premiere play, 2 performers. Collectivism versus Individualism. Man versus Woman. Artist versus Subject. Brady versus Lincoln. Shooting Celebrities, written by artist John Ransom Phillips, is a highly visual and physical exploration of who gets to define and set down America’s history: A patriarchal society, as represented in the play by the nation’s first celebrity photographer, Matthew Brady, or the individual, as represented by Mary Lincoln, a quintessential recipient of a society’s chauvinism.
