Tryna Ritza:

AVAILABLE ROLE. Leading role. Tryna Ritza is 40-50ish. Wife of Shlemiel, and mother of two noisy children. Has been married long enough to be disappointed with her unscholarly and sexually passive husband. She is surprised to miss him when he leaves home to spread the wisdom of the local sages. Falls passionately in love with him when he returns, thinking he is her husband's double … but he is actually her husband. Actress must have a strong comedic sense and a strong singing voice. Must also move well … movement includes rhythmic pedestrian steps and folk references, performed with wooden chairs and tables, on a wooden floor raked in several directions. Actress must also be dexterous (good flexibility in her hands), because she performs several costume changes on stage.
