Chee-Chee Bryant:
Character is an African American male, age 10 – 11. He is advanced in learning (has the ability to memorize almost anything he reads), but tries to hide it behind a tough “street” edge. Wears baggy hip-hop gear that’s often falling off his small frame. Lives uncomfortably between the world of book-smarts and street-smarts. Actor must have good comic timing and the ability to perform in verse (rhyme). The role requires performing text with adult content and explicit language.
