Mark Rothko:
American painter, 50s or older. He is an unkempt man. He truly works at his art…his work consumes him. He is a taskmaster with his much younger assistant. He has an enormous ego and believes that critics of his work just aren’t smart enough to understand what they are looking at. His moods and attention can turn in an instant. He is bigger than life much of the time and yet it covers his insecurity.
