Adam:
A substitute teacher, 40-45, has a sharp witty mind but an inability to trust his own happiness, agnostic
Luke:
An aspiring actor, late 20s –early 30s, handsome, loving and supportive, Christian
Holly:
A candle shop owner, 30-40, Adam’s best friend, pleasant and supportive.
Brandon:
A property developer, 30ish, Luke’s estranged friend.
Arlene:
A divorcee, 50ish, Luke’s mother, a reformed wild woman.
Butch:
A business man, 50s, Luke’s father, a no-nonsense born again fundamentalist.
