PREPARATION

EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition. Prepare a short song in the style of the show. Singing from the show is fine. For the role of Sam Phillips, sides will be provided. An Equity Monitor will be provided.

SEEKING

• Elvis Presley – 20s; male; singer/guitar player to portray Elvis in his 20s at the beginning of his career. Familiar with his music and able to play guitar; sounds and looks somewhat like Elvis.
• Jerry Lee Lewis – 20s; male; singer/pianist. A superb piano player, able to play like Jerry Lee Lewis; fun, energetic; comic skills a plus. Sounds and looks somewhat like Jerry Lee.
• Carl Perkins – mid 20s; male; singer/guitar player (lead guitar). An excellent lead guitarist.
• Johnny Cash – mid 20s; male; singer/guitar player. Johnny Cash at the dawn of his epic career. Familiar with his music and able to play guitar; sounds and looks somewhat like Johnny.
• Sam Phillips – mid 30s; male; does not sing in the show.
• Dyanne – mid 20s; female singer; Elvis’s girlfriend; attractive; great singer with a wide range.
