Cervantes / Don Quixote:

Male, 30s - 60s. He is our hero and narrator. Strong leading man with a great sense of storytelling, humor and innovation. Strong leader and collaborator. His dominant qualities are childlike – ingeniousness with endless curiosity about human behavior and candor. Lyric baritone.

Aldonza:

Woman, 20s - 40s. Quixote’s love, a woman of great strength, guile, wit and ultimately compassion. Strong exterior with great vulnerability. Savage, dark alley-cat, survivor of many back-fence tussles. Must move well. Strong belt/mezzo/legit range.
