Alan Raleigh:

Male, 40s. Successful corporate lawyer who lives by his cell phone and has never done a day’s manual labor in his life. Although he can put on a preppy puppy dog charm when necessary, he mostly doesn’t care what others think of him. Things have come easily in his life and when he does need to fight for something he relies on secret strategies and power plays. If that doesn’t work, he’s lost.

Annette Raleigh:

Female, 40s. A sweet acting wife, mother, and financial analyst with careful grooming and little confidence in a group. She spends a lot of time wishing those around her could just get along. She learned her values from storybooks and her life falls messily apart when she’s forced to question them.

Michael Novak:

Male 40s. Hard working husband and father who likes to think of himself as more easy going and affable than he actually is. He is a self made business owner who has adopted the manners and style of refined society but his street roots turn him into a common brute when he gets crossed. He’s a cave man who looks comfortable in a tuxedo.

Veronica Novak:

Female 40s. Sophisticated New Yorker who appears to balance her roles as wife, mother, and writer with easy going style and a good graduate degree. She needs to control any group dynamic very tightly and when she loses that control she turns mean and vindictive. When she drinks, she becomes wild.
