Sides will be provided at the audition, and are available at the Theatre in advance. In addition to reading from sides, please prepare a one-minute serio-comic monologue.

Please bring TWO sets of your stapled-together picture and resume.

Mystery romance set in 1919 New York. It is as much a love story involving a love triangle between a man, his wife and the man’s secretary as it is a beautiful ode to writing, creativity and the typewriter.

Seeking (all roles are available):

Note: No housing is available to out-of-area performers.

Myra Babbage:

Late 30s – early 40s. Secretary to an author. Transcribes his dictation. Precise, intuitive, good-natured, patient. Likes to dance. Narrator of the play. Actor must be an excellent typist (actor/typewriter will be four feet from the front row of the audience).

Franklin Woolsey:

Late 50s - early 60s. Author, novelist, ghost/memory. Persistent, precise, adamant, stalwart. Rigorous work habits.

Vivian Woolsey:

Late 50s – early 60s. Woolsey’s wife. Poet. Insistent, suspicious, jealous.
