DADDY LONG LEGS
by John Caird and Paul Gordon
This exquisitely romantic story is the vivid account of Jerusha Abbott, a young orphan girl, as she blossoms into a beautiful, intelligent and vivacious woman. Jerusha is sent to a prestigious college by an anonymous benefactor, that Jerusha whimsically dubs “Daddy Long Legs.” The new two-person musical is played out through Jerusha’s letters, which paint a moving portrait of her imaginative, yet lonely life at school, her frustration and struggle with independence, and the development of her mind and spirit.
