Seeking (all roles are available):
Jerry Przpezniak:
30ish. Playwright. Wide-eyed innocence. For the first time, a play of his is optioned for Broadway. He’s going into first rehearsals, and is absolutely giddy with excitement. Endearingly naïve, but completely lovable.
Arlene Wyniarski:
Late 20s. Wisp of a girl. Jerry’s fiancée. Smart in many ways, but not so savvy in others.
Mike Policzek:
50s. Director of the new play. Friendly-looking, with a gentle, laid-back demeanor. May not be the most easy-going man in the mad world of show biz, but to him, nothing is worth getting upset about.
Curt Logan:
60. Lead actor in the play. A recognizable entity to audiences. Well-preserved. Bombastic. Has hidden his arrogance poorly. Was likely to have once been a “ladies’ man”, but no longer. Certainly still considers himself one.
Beatrice Pomeroy:
60. Character woman with a large shoulder bag. Look out. It’s like having Imogene Coca with a bottomless trunk of props, tricks and gags. Comic terror.
Lucinda Shaw:
30ish. British. A wiry, ferret-like being. Her work is the focus of her life, not her appearance. As wacky as she may seem, by profession, she is an Equity Stage Manager.
