The minimum base weekly salary for the positions being auditioned for is established by a collective bargaining agreement between The Broadway League Inc., on behalf of the above-named producer, and Actors' Equity Association. For Broadway, it is anticipated that the base weekly salary for each of the below-listed roles will range between a minimum of $2,638 per week (which equals an annualized base salary of $137,176) and a maximum of $2,638 per week (which equals an annualized base salary of $137,176).

TBA – FLORENCE – (CAST) (Female, 30s)
Brilliant, intelligent, tough, pragmatic, and emotionally mature, Florence navigates the competing affections of Freddie and Anatoly while haunted by the trauma of her father’s disappearance during wartime. Mezzo-Soprano with a strong belt.
TBA – FREDDIE – (CAST) (Male, 30s)
An American chess champion. Temperamental, arrogant, and emotionally volatile. Mentally unstable with a big ego. His internal struggles and paranoia often sabotage his relationships and career. Rock tenor.
TBA – ANATOLY – (CAST) (Male, 30s)
A Soviet chess master. Calm, introspective, brilliant, and principled, Anatoly is a man torn between personal freedom and political loyalty. Bari-tenor or High Baritone.
TBA – MOLOKOV – (CAST) (Male, 40s-50s)
A Soviet political operative. Calculating and brash. Charming but manipulative, Molokov plays the political game behind the scenes, maneuvering Anatoly for Soviet interests while masking threats with civility. Strong comedic timing. Baritone.
TBA – WALTER – (CAST) (Male, 40s-50s)
An American government CIA agent. Tough, a badass. Presented as Freddie’s manager, Walter is covertly involved in political conspiracies, aligning closely with Florence’s storyline and US interests. Strong comedic timing. Baritone.
TBA – THE ARBITER – (CAST) (Male, 30s-40s)
A strict and neutral referee of the chess tournament. Cool, authoritarian, and unflinching. He is a sharp and sardonic observer of everything going on. Strong comedic timing. Tenor.

SVETLANA – (Female, 30s)
Anatoly’s estranged wife. Caught in the personal and political consequences of Anatoly’s choices, she will do anything to maintain her family and her status. Mezzo-Soprano with a strong high belt.
