Guenevere:
Very young and lovely. Role originated by Julie Andrews. Charm, a light comic touch, graceful mover, playful. A solid British accent and a wonderful singer. Wide emotional range with depth and sensitivity. LEAD
Lancelot:
A handsome, well built sexy leading man. Serious, athletic and religious. One of the “Knights of the Round Table”. Absolutely devoted to King Arthur and his cause but falls deeply in love with Arthur’s wife, Guenevere. A spectacular baritone. Requires a good French accent. LEAD
King Arthur:
The character ages from late 20s-early 40s. Seeking an actor with great charisma, classical training a +. Must sing. Boyish, yet regal. Physically agile. Facile with language- long speeches. Must have a powerfully attractive rich speaking voice and an excellent British accent. LEAD
Female Chorus 1:
(also understudies GUENEVERE) Strong young performer who sings and moves very well
Female Chorus 2 / Nimue:
Can be older than Guenevere, strong singer and mover.
Male Chorus 1:
(also understudies Lancelot) young handsome wonderful baritone.
Male chorus 2:
(also understudies King Arthur) 20s-40s. Powerful, elegant - a strong presence
Male chorus 3:
(also understudies Mordred) who is Arthur’s young, troublemaking illegitimate son) Good with the spoken word and a good singer.
Male chorus 4:
Good singer, mover and very versatile actor
