Other Dates The season begins Fall 2011 and runs thru Summer 2012 (exact dates TBD).
Breakdown
The 2011-2012 Lookingglass Theatre season will consist of three plays. Two of the productions will be world premieres followed by a yet-to-be-announced play, TBD. Actors should prepare one (1) monologue of no more than two minutes in length. This will be followed by a brief interview with the auditors. Acting style for the monologues should reflect plays that have a late-19th century American or contemporary American sensibility.
Actors who sing should request a slot (if available) the first day, Tuesday, January 11th. An accompanist will be provided the FIRST DAY ONLY. The second two days, Wednesday January 12th and Thursday January 13th will not have the singing component although actors should cite their musical abilities with the auditors. Singers should perform BOTH a monologue as indicated above as well as one (1) brief musical selection. An American folk or popular song - preferably turn of the century - is preferred. Singers should provide the accompanist sheet music in their key and perform 16-bars of music.

Preparation Please prepare 1 monologue, 2 minutes max. Monologues should be American contemporary or pieces that reflect a late 19th or early 20th century sensibility. If singing, bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided on Tuesday ONLY. Bring headshot and resume.
Other If auditioning for both musical and non-musical, make your appointment on Tuesday. There will be no accompanist Wednesday or Thursday; a cappella not permitted.
Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend.
