The Denver Nickel + Dime Animation Festival Is Back At The Bug!

The Bug Theatre is exciting to open its doors for another Denver Nickel + Dime Animation Extravaganza. The all-animation film festival will be Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 7:00 PM with a pre-show marathon of cartoon shorts beginning at 6:30 PM. Tickets for the event are $10 and are available online at www.BugTheatre.org. The Bug Theatre is located at 3654 Navajo Street in Denver. Parking is free.

About the show: The Denver Nickel + Dime Extravaganza features 32 animated shorts from around the globe. Places you've possibly heard of like Germany, Israel, Spain, New York, The Netherlands, The United Kingdom, Hungary, Los Angeles, Ireland, France, and Colorado Springs! Plus, this hilarious, fascinating and totally animated festival is hosted by the one and only Bearver C. Rogers. Make sure to come early to enjoy a short pre-show marathon of shorts featuring the evening's host.

Making appearances to rap with Bearver are animation directors Bill Plympton, Debra Solomon, Ross Bollinger (Pencilmation), Sabrina Cotugno, Graham Annable (Grickle), Jake Armstrong, Joy + Noelle, Eoin Duffy, Yotam Perel, Kent Leon Welling, Nacho Rodríguez, Brandon & Lisa Ray (Paper Brain Productions) and Tammy Chang. (Guests are IN the show, not AT it.)

Proceeds from the evening benefit The Bug Theatre, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing the opportunity for the development of unique voices, a diverse audience, and dynamic programming. The Bug Theatre believes in the spirit of artistry as the driving force behind every production, in the integrity of the creative individual, and in the power of shared artistic experiences.
