Spotlight Theatre Presents CHRISTMAS BELLES, Now thru 12/20

By:

It's Christmas-time in the small town of Fayro, Texas, and the Futrelle Sisters are not exactly in a festive mood. A cranky Frankie is weeks overdue with her second set of twins. Twink is in jail for inadvertently burning down half the town. And hot-flash-suffering Honey Raye is desperately trying to keep the Tabernacle of the Lamb's Christmas Program from spiraling into chaos! The Futrelle sister's hilarious holiday journey is guaranteed to bring joy to your world!

Spotlight Theatre presents "Christmas Belles" tonight, November 22 through December 20 at The John Hand Theater, 7653 E. 1st Place, Denver, CO 80230. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; Sundays at 2:00 p.m. with one added matinee on Saturday, December 20 @ 2 p.m. Tickets are $21 for adults and $19 for students and seniors and are available by calling 720-880-8727 or online at www.thisisspotlight.com. Group rates available. Free parking.

Luke Terry directs a cast that includes Katie Mangett (Geneva Musgrave), Rita Broderick (Frankie Futrelle-Dubberly), Shahara Ray (Twink Futrelle), Darcy Kennedy (Honey Raye Futrelle), Keith Wright (Dub Dubberly), Kelly Dwyer (G.J. Dubberly), Scott Hogg (John Curtis Butner), Shannon Abrood (Rhonda Lynn Browne), James Ivey (Justin Waverly), Gracen Porreca (Raynerd Chisim) and Dan Connell (Patsy Price).

Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, collectively known as Jones Hope Wooten, have dedicated themselves to writing deliciously funny words from the Southern side of life, and now enjoy the reputation of being three of the most popular and widely-produced playwrights in the United States. They've built a following with their legions of loyal fans on "humor that is crisp, clever, smart and never settles for an obvious laugh." They've written classic television, hit movies and Off-Broadway comedy.
