Avenue Theater will present the regional premiere of MINIMUM WAGE tonight, June 21, 2013. This funny fast food a Capella musical will be directed by Nick Sugar and presented by community partner Pizza Fusion. The rock a Capellacomedy was created and written by Colorado-born playwrights, performers, comicbook geeks, and brothers Charlie and Jeff LaGreca. Nevertheless, Nick Sugar will be the first person in Colorado to direct the zany antics of the Burger Boys and Girl who are training the newest Happy Burger employees in the audience.

The songs in MINIMUM WAGE were written by the LaGreca brothers and Sean Altman who, as part of Rockapella performed the theme song to "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego." The fun and catchy score will be performed by a cast of Denver talent; Michael Bouchard, Keegan C. Flaugh, Damon Guerrasio, Abby McInerney, and Carter EdWard Smith. After being recognized as a cult favorite at the 2002 Fringe Fest by the New York Times, MINIMUM WAGE went on to critical and box office success in Montreal, Quebec and Dallas, TX. The show that Montreal Gazette called "Fantastic!" and a "holy friggin' a Capella extraveganza" is finally coming home to Denver.

MINIMUM WAGE runs tonight, June 21 - August 3, 2013, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30PM, and select Thursdays at 7:30PM are July 18 and 25, and August 1.

Tickets are $26 and available at WWW.AVENUETHEATER.COM, or by calling 303-321-5925.
