The Plano Symphony Orchestra opens its 2026-27 season with conductor Stilian Kirov, the first of five Music Director finalists to lead the orchestra this season. The program features Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man, Gershwin's Concerto in F for Piano and Orchestra with pianist Sean Chen, Barber's Second Essay for Orchestra, and Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story. This season marks longtime Maestro Héctor Guzmán's transition into the role of Music Director Emeritus.
