The Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts will kick off a weekend-long, 10th anniversary celebration with a Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 5, from 10 am-2 pm. Through support from Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, the Schottenstein Theater will screen Disney's Moana at 10 am, followed by performances from the talented students of the New Albany-Plain Local School District. On-site children's activities will begin at 11 am, including inflatables, caricatures, balloon artists, face painting, and the chance to "Touch a Truck" with the Plain Township Fire Department and New Albany Police Department. All Saturday activities, including the film and student performances, are free of charge.

But a chance meeting with an artistic kid, the target of this group's bullying, offers CB a peace of mind and sets in motion a friendship that will push teen angst to the very limits. The Peanuts are re-imagined in this parody of your favorite childhood television characters facing the harsh reality of the post-adolescent world. Drug use, suicide, eating disorders, teen violence, rebellion and sexual identity collide and careen toward an ending that's both haunting and hopeful. When Edward's meeting with Dr. Smith goes wildly awry and leaves Edward clinging precariously to his last shred of sanity, Dr. Smith's patient Lydia (a goodhearted psychic woman with clues to Edward's past) arrives for her appointment to find Edward in big trouble. Despite the chaos created by unexpected visitors and quirks in Lydia's psychic powers, Lydia does her best to gain Edward's trust and help him find justice as his world rapidly approaches critical mass. However, pianist Jeff Kazee appeared to be very glad to return to one of the touchstone places in his career.
