Shadowbox Live's GALLERY OF ECHOES To Be Featured On SONGS AT THE CENTER, 11/6

Shadowbox Live's Gallery of Echoes will be featured on an upcoming episode of Songs at the Center, to be taped live on Sunday November 6th at 7p at the Brewery District theater.

Songs at the Center is an American Public Television series showcasing singer-songwriters performing "in the round" before a live audience. The show blends interviews, spontaneous on-stage interaction, and special features. The weekly program is based at WOSU TV, Columbus, and airs at 11 PM on Saturdays.

"As a songwriter myself, I'm inspired by other composers and the stories behind their music," said Eric Gnezda, creator and host of Songs at the Center. "We're privileged to be collaborating with Shadowbox Live to bring 'Gallery of Echoes' the national exposure it deserves. We look forward to celebrating Shadowbox Live's creativity and risk-taking spirit."

Shadowbox Live had planned to perform the second iteration of the Gallery of Echoes series, Gallery of Echoes: ColumbUS Public Art Project, for seven performances between November 3rd and 6th. But now, for the seventh and final performance, Shadowbox Live is planning to devote that time to the "live" taping of the show. Six or seven select numbers from the current Gallery of Echoes and from the original production, Gallery of Echoes: The CMA Experience, will be performed. Additionally, the performance will be recorded right there in front of the Shadowbox Live audience!

"This is an amazing chance to hear the stories behind the Gallery of Echoes music," says Boord, "and to be a part of what will undoubtedly be a very significant moment for Columbus. This is a Columbus collaboration at its finest. It's an opportunity to elevate the profile of a Columbus-based television series that is now in 115 markets nationwide on American Public Television; Shadowbox Live - the largest resident theatre company in America; the Columbus Museum of Art, a national medalist; some of our astounding local artists; and WOSU-TV.
