Columbus Children's Theatre Presents ANNIE

Columbus Children's Theatre will present Annie April 26 - May 13, 2018 at the Lincoln Theatre located at 769 E. Long Street. This production is directed by William Goldsmith and choreographed by Dionysia Williams. Original music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and book by Thomas Meehan.

Since the show's first debut in 1977, little orphan Annie has charmed audiences both young and old with her heartwarming tale of kindness, love, and what it means to be a family. Being raised in an orphanage by spiteful Miss Hannigan, eleven-year-old Annie decides it's time to life into her own hands. Through running away and adopting a dog of her own, Annie ends up in the care of billionaire Oliver Warbucks. Distant and indifferent at first, Warbucks soon comes to find a place for Annie in his heart and his home. Even though Annie tries to find her real parents, she and Mr. Warbucks soon find that sometimes family is something you create by yourselves.

Adapted many times for film throughout the years in 1982 and again recently in 2014, CCT's final production of their 2017 - 2018 season will be sure to remind you the power of positivity, love, and that the sun will always come out tomorrow. Whether you have grown up with the story, or just became introduced to it, CCT's production of Annie will an all start cast, with Annie herself being played by both Rayli Boyd and Sofia Jorgensen. The role of Daddy Warbucks will be played by Chris Rusen. CCT's very own William Goldsmith will be directing with the help of Jeffrey D. Hamm as Music Director. CCT and their all-star cast and crew will be sure to have you falling in love all over again with New York City's favorite family.

Annie is brought to you by AEP and North Steppe Realty. CCT thanks their season sponsors Greater Columbus Arts Council, Art Makes Columbus, Ohio Arts Council, The National Endowment for the Arts, The Columbus Foundation, AEP, Nationwide, The Shubert Foundation, The Reinberger Foundation, and Lbrands Foundation.
