I had the privilege of seeing Seven Spots on the Sun and I need to get this out of the way immediately: it was fantastic. The show was truly one of the best productions I have ever seen. Seven Spots on the Sun is a World Premiere play written by Martin Zimmerman and directed by KJ Sanchez

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) celebrates the 200th anniversary of composer Richard Wagner's birth (May 22, 1813) with an unprecedented series of events this month. Beginning on Friday, Oct. 11, and running through Thursday, Oct. 24, CCM explores Wagner's iconic work and enduring legacy with a series of guest lectures, film screenings and a concert performance by the CCM Philharmonia. Aside from the Oct. 12 Philharmonia performance, these events are free and open to the general public.

Know Theatre's Producing Artistic Director Eric Vosmeier Steps Down

Producing Artistic Director, Eric Vosmeier has tendered his resignation to Know Theatre's Board of Directors. His last day at the helm of the organization will be June 30, 2014, just after the 11th Annual Cincinnati Fringe Festival and at the end of the company's 13-14 fiscal year.
Sarah Brightman Tour Plays Cincinnnati Tonight

The Cincinnati engagement of the Sarah Brightman tour has been rescheduled for tonight, October 2, 2013, 7:30 PM at Music Hall (the original concert was scheduled for March 5, 2013 at the Aronoff Center). Sarah Brightman's highly anticipated 11th studio album Dreamchaser was released in North America in April 2013, which coincided with the timing of her International album release plan that will run through Spring 2013. As a consequence, the North American tour dates were moved to the fall of 2013.

FAKE FLOWERS DON'T DIE, winner of this year's Macy's New Play Prize For Young Audiences, opens the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 2013-14 Off the Hill season with performances at more than a dozen Tristate community centers from tonight, Sept. 28 through Nov. 2. The script, by nationally acclaimed playwright John Yearley, is the 12th recipient of the Macy's New Play Prize, for which national playwrights are chosen by The Playhouse to create new work specifically for younger audiences.

Ghost was one of the most advanced productions I have ever seen because of the lighting design, magic tricks and the use of digital images. This production showed what I believe is going to be Broadway within the next 10 years. Technology is in every aspect of our lives now so it's no surprise that a musical production is fully embracing what it can do.

This year, CSC will be offering Adult Contemporary Acting, Adult Shakespeare Acting and Advanced Adult Contemporary acting along with a session of Teen Contemporary acting.
