Hong Kong Dance Company Presents All About Mulan

Mulan is a legendary figure from ancient China who was originally presented in a Chinese poem known as The Ballad of Mulan, which was composed in the fifth century. Mulan's story was a classic representation of filial piety. The heroine with loyalty, courage, wisdom and love joined the army in place of her aged father, fought against the enemies and protected the homeland.
Hong Kong Dance Company modifies The Legend of Mulan, the folklore dance drama of the company, into All about Mulan, the educational dance performance. With the integration of dance, Chinese literature, music, interaction and drama, audience will have a new understanding towards this classic piece. While enjoying an artistic performance of dance, audience will also learn about traditional Chinese virtues of courage, loyalty, wisdom and filial piety. The spirits of Mulan are still adoptable to our daily lives.
All about Mulan will be staged at Auditorium of Tsuen Wan Town Hall from 2 to 4 March, 2018 (Fri-Sun, 3:00pm-4:15pm). Let's meet the legendary heroine in Chinese history and the Ballad of Mulan with a new perspective!
