The Harris Theater for Music and Dance is pleased to offer two diverse programs this June, featuring some of Chicago's finest young dancers and the city's most gifted choral artists.

Complete program information for the month of June at the Harris Theater is as follows:

Mayfair Academy: A Force of Nature
Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 2:00 and 6:00 pm
Tickets: $25 - 45 (on sale beginning April 18)

Mayfair Academy presents over 600 students in two performances at their annual dance concert. This year's show is focused on nature pictured though still images and performances in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hiphop. This is great family entertainment which showcases our students ranging in age from 3 years to adults. Mayfair Academy has a 53 year history of children and adult performances in dance and is directed and produced by Peggy Sutton.

The Grant Park Chorus: American A Cappella

Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 6:30 pm
No tickets are required. First come, first served seating.

The Grant Park Chorus and Director Christopher Bell (celebrating his 10th season with the Festival) take a tour of eclectic new American works for chorus. This program is being recorded for what will become the chorus' first-ever a cappella CD.

Opened in 2003, the Harris Theater's mission is to partner and collaborate with an array of Chicago's emerging and mid-sized performing arts organizations to help them build the resources and infrastructure necessary to achieve artistic growth and long-term organizational sustainability.
