Barrel of Monkeys Names New Executive Director
The Board of Directors of Barrel of Monkeys has announced the appointment of Corinne Neal as the company's new Executive Director effective July 1, 2015. Neal most recently served as Managing Director of Chicago's About Face Theatre Company. She succeeds Amanda Farrar, who stepped down earlier this month after serving nearly six years as Executive Director.
Neal brings ten years of theatre management experience and a passion for arts education to Barrel of Monkeys. In addition to her recent position with About Face Theatre, Neal also served as Managing Director for Collaboraction in Chicago and as General Manager for Bricolage Production Company in Pittsburgh. She holds a BA in Theater from Vassar College and a Masters in Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
"We are very excited about Corinne's impressive record of arts management in the Chicago theater community, and we know she's the right person to help us continue Barrel of Monkeys' long track record of superb executive directors," comments Barrel of Monkeys' Board President Jennifer Bowser. "We are excited to welcome Corinne to the organization - we know she'll help fulfill our mission of celebrating the power of our students' imaginations and building a radically kind Chicago."
