The board of directors of Theatre Harrisburg is pleased to announce the appointment of Allison Hays to the position of Executive Director. Hays has been a figure in the Harrisburg non-profit community since 2010, previously holding positions at WITF, Inc., the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra, and Pennsylvania Regional Ballet. She has performed in numerous theatrical productions, both professional and amateur, including several shows at Theatre Harrisburg. She recently managed the Off-Broadway play The Trial of an American President at Theatre Row's The Lion Theatre, and has served as a manager for the long-running musical The Days of '98 Show with Soapy Smith for Gold Rush Productions, Inc. in Skagway, Alaska for the last six years. Hays assumes the position immediately, but will be fulfilling her obligations in Alaska before returning to Pennsylvania in July. To facilitate the change in leadership, the board of directors has hired Kristi Ondo as Interim Manager of Theatre Operations. A presence in the local art and non-profit scenes, and director of Theatre Harrisburg's winter musical "City of Angels", Ondo will coordinate the production of this season's two remaining shows, "Dani Girl" and "Trails."
