Pocono Mountains Music Festival Announces 10th Anniversary Season

Returning Artistic Director, Scott Coulter, has announced the Pocono Mountains Music Festival milestone 2019 Season.

"I'm thrilled with the lineup for this 10th Anniversary Season. There's truly something for everyone. The debut of the Pocono Pops! Orchestra last season was so successful that we're bringing them back with "Music of the Knights." PMMF is also creating a brand new family show called "Cirque d'Oz" that combines amazing athletic acrobatic artistry with beloved music based on "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.'" How exciting to have the world premier of this exciting concert event in the Poconos."

The season, running from July 24 - July 28, 2019, begins in the Fairway Grill at Buck Hill Falls, the perfect cabaret setting, with two-time Tony Award nominated actress and singer, Kate Baldwin. Thursday, July 25thbrings the premiere of Cirque d'Oz, a breath-taking experience for the entire family at Pocono Mountains East High School, Swiftwater. Performers Kelli Rabke, Blaine Krauss and, John Boswellwill be joined by acrobats, dancers and musicians to celebrate the wonderful world of Oz.

Festival favorite and one of New York City's most sought after performers, Carole J. Buffordreturns to the Festival on Friday, July 26thperforming at the Evergreen Ballroom at Skytop Lodge. Music of the Knights, a celebration of the works of Britain's legendary songwriters, Sir Elton John, Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber, and Sir Paul McCartney, opens Saturday, July 27that Pocono Mountains East High School, featuring our 23 piecePocono Pops! Orchestraand performersJessica Hendy, Lorinda Lisitza, and Campbell Walker Fields.

This exciting season closes with the wildly popular jazz sensation, The Hot Sardines, on Sunday, July 28that Pocono Mountains East High School.

The Festival continues its history of providing educational programs for local youth with the Performing Arts Camp. Camp students will study with award-winning instructorsKlea Blackurst, Vibecke Dahl, Germaine Goodson, andJohn Boswell, culminating in an exuberant concert performance on Friday, August 2ndat Pocono Mountains East High School.
