Havana Cuba All-Stars Bring CUBAN NIGHTS to the State Theatre

Drawing their inspiration from traditional Cuban Son, Cuba's greatest musicians have created and maintained the songs and music of the rich culture of the Cuban people. Direct from Havana Cuba, The Havana Cuba All-Stars bring their new program "Cuban Nights" to the State Theatre on Friday, October 7th.

Staying true to an acoustic base, The Havana Cuba All-Stars have developed a fresh sound with inventive songwriting, and have preserved the traditions of the Cuban musical art form. The Cuban Nights program is representative of the extraordinary musical legacy of this wonderful country.

The joy of the Caribbean pulses through the air as Cuba's most prominent musicians share their rich musical heritage, from the Rumba to the Cha-Cha-Cha to the Habanera. This exciting band brings an authentic Cuban experience, with rhythmic drums and castanets, wailing trumpets, and masterful acoustic guitar. Devoted to presenting the wide tapestry that exists in Cuban music - from Latin dance to soulful ballads - this concert presents the great musical traditions of the Cuban people. "The Asere Friendship Tour" is The Havana Cuba All-Stars' first-ever U.S. tour and celebrates the new open friendship between the United States and Cuba.
