HERE COMES MISTER HERSHEY Set for Hershey Area Playhouse Tonight
PA Historical Dramas presents the musical medley, "Here Comes Mister Hershey" at the Hershey Area Playhouse tonight, August 22, 2014 @ 7:30 PM.
"Here Comes Mister Hershey" is based on the award-winning documentary film, "What Would Mister Hershey Say: Voices of His Legacy," and the original "Milton Hershey, The Play," that sold out the Whitaker Center and the Fulton Opera House back in 2001-03.
This musical medley captures the essence of Milton Hershey's spirit, his early struggles, his workers' reverence toward him and his dedication to Catherine, his wife; and to the school that bears his name.
Author Brian W. Kreider said that "it was another era, a simpler time, an inventive time." This presentation is being directed by Karen Dundore-Gulotta who has worked with Brian on the original play and also the documentary film, "The Blue Eyed Six." She is thrilled to be a part of bring Mister Hershey's legacy back to the stage and is looking forward to the staging of the full length musical in 2015.
As an added feature of the evening's entertainment, the audience will be treated to the half-hour above mentioned documentary film "What Would Mister Hershey Say: Voices of His Legacy" at the conclusion of the musical medley.
The music medley and documentary film presentation are both included for the price of $10.00 per ticket.
