HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL Hijacks the EPAC Stage This Month

Based on the 1988 cult favorite film Heathers, this musical of the same name approaches high school popularity and angst from a dark, devious perspective. At Westerburg High, a trio of popular girls namEd Heather invite newcomer Veronica into their it-girl clique, but the group is quickly brought down from its status by bad boy J.D. With murder, blackmail, sex, and deceit running rampant, Heathers: The Musical takes the troubles of being a teenager to a whole new level of campy `musical comedy.

Heathers The Musical ran off-Broadway at New World Stages from March to August 2014. Directed by Artistic Director Edward R. Fernandez with musical direction by Zach Smith, EPAC's production will bring audiences right into the center of the dark, devious, and fun action!

Heading the cast of Heathers: The Musical will be Martha Wasser in the role of Veronica. Martha was last seen at EPAC as The Lady of the Lake in EPAC's hit production of Spamalot. She has also been seen at EPAC in leading roles in Cabaret and Assassins. Playing bad boy J.D. will be Michael Roman, who wowed audiences with his portrayal of Donkey in EPAC's production of Shrek in December 2015. Also appearing in the cast will be EPAC favorite Brian Viera, last seen as Spike in EPAC's Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike earlier this year.

Heathers: The Musical will run from October 20 to November 5, 2016, at EPAC's Sharadan Bigler Theatre. Tickets can be purchased at ephrataperformingartscenter.com or by calling 717-733-7966 x 1.

Wednesday and Thursday shows are at 7:30pm; Friday night shows are at 8pm; Saturday matinees are at 2pm. Ticket prices are $25-$32 for evening performances and $25 for the matinee.
