Downtown Hershey to Host Annual Holiday Celebration Next Month in ChocolateTown Square

By:

The Downtown Hershey Association invites the community to Downtown Hershey's Annual Holiday Celebration on Friday, December 2, 2016, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in ChocolateTown Square.

Santa will arrive via a Hershey Volunteer Fire Company truck just after 6:00 p.m. and greet children at the event. Kids can also pose with some favorite Hershey product characters, all decked out for the holidays. The holiday celebration features a musical performance by Milton Hershey School's New Horizons, a community sing-along, cookies, cocoa, and an ornament-making activity for children. Kids can also "mail" letters to Santa in a special mailbox that will be in the park throughout the holiday season.

"The tree lighting and holiday celebration has been a tradition for more than 100 years," said Lauren Zumbrun of the Downtown Hershey Association. "This event is another opportunity for our community to come together to celebrate Life on Chocolate," she added.

The tree will be lit by Children's Miracle Network Miracle Child Miles Rhodes and his family. The event is free of charge and open to the public. The event is sponsored in part by The Hershey Company, Karns Foods and Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. The most up-to-date information can be found at DowntownHershey.com.
