Open Stage of Harrisburg is proud to bring back a Harrisburg tradition! For eleven years, OSH produced their own adaptation of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, penned by Edward Alsedek. After a four year hiatus, A CHRISTMAS CAROL will return for a one night only staged reading. The reading will be on Sunday, December 7 at 7:00pm. A reception will follow.

Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL tells the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge's encounter with the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. Through these encounters thousands of Open Stage patrons have learned the true meaning of the holiday season. Nick Hughes returns once again to his signature role of Ebenezer Scrooge.

"Over the eleven years we produced A CHRISTMAS CAROL, both here at Open Stage and then later at Whitaker Center, we have accumulated hundreds of cast and crew alumni. We want to celebrate them, " says Don Alsedek, Executive Artistic Director, who will helm the staged reading. "Over the years, thousands of audiences members of all ages went on the journey with Scrooge."

Cast off the "humbug within" with an exciting reunion of Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL and catch the spirit of the Season. Meet Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, the three spirits and all the familiar Dickensian characters for a very merry time.

Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL runs for one night only on Sunday, December 7. Curtain is 7:00 pm. It will be performed at Open Stage, located at 223 Walnut Street, on the strete level of the Walnut Street Parking Garage. Parking is available in the Walnut Street Parking Garage.

Admission to Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL is PAY-WHAT-YOU-WILL. As seating is limited, reservations can be made by visiting http://openstagehbg.com/tickets or by calling 717-232-6736.

This season is funded, in part, by the Cultural Enrichment Fund, the capital region's united arts fund. Open Stage of Harrisburg is a Constituent of Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for American theatre.
