About this camp
The Children's Acting Academy offers professional acting training for ages 4-16 at its studio on West 72nd Street in Manhattan, including a full-day summer camp. The 2026 camp ran Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in six one-week sessions between July 6 and August 13, with separate groups for ages 4-8 and 9-13. Campers sing, dance and act while working on acting technique, improvisation and theatre games, speech and diction, script work, monologues and comedic scenes, mime, storytelling and sketch comedy. Each Wednesday includes a Broadway or Off-Broadway matinee field trip followed by lunch at a local restaurant, and each week closes with an open camp showcase on Thursday afternoon for family and friends. Professional specialists such as casting directors visit weekly. The academy also runs fall, winter and spring classes, productions and private coaching.
Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. Age groups 4-8 and 9-13. Broadway or Off-Broadway field trip every Wednesday; open showcase every Thursday 1:30-3:00 PM.
