About this camp
School of Rock Lake Oswego, now operating at 15955 SW 72nd Ave. in Tigard, Oregon, teaches performance-based music education that pairs one weekly private lesson with one weekly group band rehearsal. Rookies serves ages 6-7 using simplified rock instruments; Rock 101 (ages 8-13) teaches beginners through simplified classic rock songs; and the Performance Program (ages 8-18) assigns each student songs and parts and culminates in live shows at local venues. An Adult Program is open to students 18 and over. Faculty are working Portland-area musicians teaching guitar, bass, drums, keyboard/piano and vocals. Students who progress may audition for the school's House Band or for the national AllStars summer tour. The school also runs 5-day music camps, which are currently on sale through the site.
