Raue Center School For The Arts (RCSA) produced Hadestown: Teen Edition as its summer 2026 pre-professional program for performers ages 13-19 at the Raue Center For The Arts in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The program ran May 26 through July 18, 2026. Placement auditions were held May 26-29 over evenings of vocal, acting and dance calls plus callbacks; every enrolled student is cast, with auditions used only to assign roles. Rehearsals ran June 1 through July 2, Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM with a built-in lunch break, followed by tech week July 5-9. The cast gave seven public performances on the Raue stage between July 10 and July 18. Participants worked on character study, vocal performance and ensemble storytelling in a fully staged production with professional design and production staff. The 2026 program was directed by RCSA Director of Education Rob Scharlow and sold out.
Auditions May 26-29, 2026 (placement only - every enrolled student is cast). Rehearsals June 1 - July 2; tech July 5-9; seven public performances July 10, 11 (two), 12, 17 and 18 (two). 2026 enrollment sold out.
