In celebration of Park Square Theatre's 50th Anniversary Season and their upcoming production of A Chorus Line, Michael Bennett estate representative Eddie Gutiérrez will be leading a workshop series for the Twin Cities dance community, exploring Bennett's works before A Chorus Line. Part Musical Theatre Dance History Class/Part Dance Rehearsal Project, each of these showstoppers will be taught in their entirety over the course of two classes (total of 4 classes for the entire workshop). Both numbers are intermediate/advanced level, musical theatre jazz material.
Week 1: Turkey Lurkey Time from Promises, Promises (all-ages)
Sunday, April 19th, 8pm - 10pm
Monday, April 20th, 6pm - 9pm
Week 2: Tick-Tock from Company (due to the adult subject material of the show, we ask that dancers be 18+)
Sunday, April 26th, 8pm-10pm
Monday, April 27th, 6pm - 9pm
Taking the 1st day of class in a week is not required in order to take the 2nd day (though a brief review will be done the 2nd day for those who did attend the 1st class, and to give new students context for the 2nd day's material.)
$40/class or $75/week (two classes)
All classes will take place at Park Square Theatre (20 West 7th Place, Saint Paul, MN 55102) in the Boss Rehearsal Room.
