Tituss Burgess Appears in Debut of CURTAINS UP at XL Nightclub, 8/6

XL Nightclub will be premiering their new weekly show CURTAINS UP with nightlife host Marti Gould Cummings beginning on Monday, August 6th. The show will begin with an old fashioned musical theatre sing along and happy hour at 7PM followed by live performances by Cummings and a new weekly guest at 9PM. The concert is a free event.

The debut performance of "Curtains Up" will feature Broadways Tituss Burgss.

Tituss Burgess is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BA in Music. He is currently recurring on 30 Rock as D'fwan. He recently starred as Nicely Nicely Johnson in the new Broadway revival of GUYS AND DOLLS. He originated the role of Sebastian the Crab in Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID, JERSEY BOYS (OBC) and GOOD VIBRATIONS (OBC). Regionally he was seen in THE WIZ (Cowardly Lion, La Jolla), SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD w/ Jason Robert Brown, Brian d'Arcy James and Alice Ripley. He played Father in CHILDREN OF EDEN, Jim in BIG RIVER and a host of others. In the concert world, Tituss has served as a soloist with the Prague Symphony Orchestra as well as for Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone. Television: "2009 Tony Awards",“The View,” “The Today Show,” "Good Morning America," “Late Night with David Letterman.” He cast albums include THE LITTLE MERMAID and JERSEY BOYS. Tituss is a sought after educator of song interp. He has performed master classes internationally with repeat engagements in Brazil and London. He specializes in Musical Theatre, Jazz and Gospel. His solo CD HERE'S TO YOU is available on iTunes.

Nightlife host Marti Gould Cummings will be MC'ing the happy hour sing along from 7-9PM before hosting the live talk show and musical performance portion of the evening from 9-10PM.

Marti Gould Cummings is a Glammy Award nominated comedian, recording artist, nightlife personality. His debut single "Real Girl", written by RoBert Williamson and William Waldrop, is currently available on itunes. In addition to his musiC, he is a comedian who host weekly shows at New World Stages, The Ritz, Barracuda, and XL Nightclub as well as being a regular performer at Lavo and Industry. Marti has appeared on television in hit shows for NBC and LOGO, as well as interview countless celebrities for his online talk series.

XL Nightclub is open 7 days a week and is located at The OUT NYC on 42nd Street and 10th Avenue.
