Leilani N. Bryant, Yolanda Wyns, and Teresa Stanley, were the ever-present trio in Oprah Winfrey's Broadway production of The Color Purple. They appeared virtually in every scene of the award-winning production, narrating the story of Celie (performed by American Idol Fantasia) through gossip.

Now that the show has closed, the women perform as The Broadway Church Ladies. Their show has been the buzz around New York City and they are back by popular demand to the Triad Theater. The Ladies contrasting personalities blend gossip, song, and comedy with spirituality. They take you on a wonderful journey about Life and Love. Their musical style can best be described as "elevating," - an eclectic mixture of Broadway Classics, R&B, Jazz, and Gospel, designed to provide audiences with an elegant, heart-warming, and moving entertaining experience. The Ladies deliver a riveting performance.

The Triad Theater, 158 West 72nd St, New York City, Saturday, August 14 p.m.
