Suzana Stankovic's STRANGERS/LOVERS Comes to Cornelia Street Cafe Tonight
STRANGERS/LOVERS: Episodes in estrangement and intimacy (and the longings in between) is a site-specific, audience-immersion work inspired by the paintings of Edward Hopper and Frida Kahlo; the poems of Emily Dickinson and Pablo Neruda; and solo piano works by Eric Satie, Chopin and others, fusing theatre, dance, live music and audience interaction in a seamless 50-minute show created, directed, choreographed and performed by Suzana Stankovic and featuring U.S. dancesport champion, Jesse Benedetti and pianist Jason Yeager.
