Rose Kingsley And Richard Shelton Bring New Show 'Sinatra And Mercer: Too Marvelous For Words' To New York

Sinatra & Mercer....What a perfect pair! While Richard Shelton, widely regarded as the worlds best interpreter of Frank Sinatra and nominated 'Best Actor in a Leading Role' for playing Sinatra, takes you on a journey of Sinatra with his music and stories, 'Opera Great turned Jazz Great' Rose Kingsley, returns to Lincoln Center, with songs and stories of the Great Johnny Mercer. All Mercer songs have been arranged for Rose by, Bob Corwin, who was Johnny Mercer's Musical Director and Pianist for 20 years. This special event is supported by the Mercer Family in an effort to keep his music alive for future generations.

Opera great turned Jazz great Rose Kingsley is now wowing Audiences from Hollywood to New York with her unique singing style. Roses operatic training, 4 octave range, and rich sultry voice allows her to tell the story of the songs she sings in a way that taps into the intimate side of her artistry and touches the heart and soul of her audience. After her debut at Birdland Jazz Club NYC, Rose has been dubbed by music critics as the " FEMALE SINATRA".

Rose has performed at such venues including The Metropolitan Opera, NYC, Carnegie Hall, NYC and Steinway Hall, NYC, Houston Grand Opera, to name a few! She has performed with such Greats as LUCIANO PAVORATTI, PLACIDO DOMINGO, BOB HOPE, FRANK SINATRA, PETER NERO, JOHN DENVER , KATHRYN GRAYSON, AND CONNIE FRANCES.

Rose has also shared her Talent for 3 US Presidents, GEORGE H.W. BUSH, GERALD FORD, AND WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON. She has also done a COMMAND PERFORMANCE FOR HRH PRINCE CHARLES . Rose has now successfully crossed over from Opera to Pop Jazz and Blues and last year released her first CD Album "This Is My Life" that received "5 Star" reviews from Associated Press and Jazz Weekly. Rose is now performing her concerts and wowing audiences throughout the country including such famous Jazz Clubs as THE CATALINA JAZZ BAR & GRILL, HOLLYWOOD CA. to BIRDLAND, NYC.

Richard Shelton is a multi award nominated British actor based in LA. His evocation of Frank Sinatra saw him nominated as 'Best Actor in a Leading Role' (Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards) in the drama, 'Rat Pack Confidential' on the London stage. " Shelton as Sinatra is simply phenomenal" - Mike Young, BBC. Richard's career spans film, TV and theatre and he's a critically acclaimed singer in his own right, with a successful solo career. On US TV screens, Richard is best known to audiences for his recurring roles on 'Jane the Virgin' and 'House of Lies'. In his native UK, Richard played the charmingly murderous role of Dr Adam Forsythe on British TV's long-running drama 'Emmerdale' for 2 years. Richard has performed in movies, on stages and in stadiums globally; sung for British and showbiz royalty, has performed with orchestras, big bands and in jazz clubs across the world. Richard's lates album, 'Lost and Found' was recorded at Capitol Studios in LA alongside Frank Sinatra's band mates, comprising original songs and standards in jazz and swing. Richard has just returned from a sell-out tour of South Africa with the Johannesburg Big Band and from Doha with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. Richard's play, 'Sinatra: RAW' opened to critical acclaim in London in January and comes to LA this summer.

*Dave Damiani is an American singer, songwriter, producer based out of Los Angeles, CA. Having started as a bartender at the famed CHARLIE O'S JAZZ CLUB in Valley Village, CA, Dave Damiani had the opportunity to work, learn and become friends with some of the best musicians on the planet. Legends like Earl Palmer, Marty Harris, Ross Tompkins, Sam Most, Teddy Edwards, John Heard, Roy McCurdy, Frank Capp, Ernie McDaniel, Dini Clarke, Danny Grissett, George Gaffney, Mark Murphy, and Richie Cole (just to name a few) took time to mentor Dave Damiani, share stories and chord changes.
