ScoBar Entertainment will present actress/singer/comedian RAIN PRYOR in DIVORCED, DANGEROUS & DIVALICIOUS - Songs of Hope Heartache & Truth, at Iridium NYC, for one night only, Tuesday, August 25 at 8pm. She will be accompanied by Zach Lapidus on piano, Jerry DeVore on bass & Joel E. Mateo on drums.

RAIN PRYOR has been performing as a Jazz/Blues Vocalist since 1993, playing to sold-out crowds in Los Angeles, DC, Hong Kong, Scotland & London. Her cabaret performances have been critically acclaimed, receiving four stars with a "not to be missed!" Proclaimed "A robust, ebullient performer with an outsize presence built for Broadway," by The NY Times, adding "at times her salty banter suggests Bette Midler without the camp!"

Zach Lapidus is a pianist, composer, performer & recording artist. He was worked with Dee Dee Bridgewater, Dianne Reeves, Rich Perry & Ralph Bowen, among others. Jerry DeVore has worked from rock to jazz to gospel to symphony & has toured all over the US, South America & Europe. Drummer Joel E. Mateo is also a percussionist who has recorded with International artists such as Papo Vazquez, Miguel Zenon, Joel Frahm, Pedro Martinez, Mitch Frohman & John Benitez, among others.

RAIN PRYOR, daughter of iconic comedian Richard Pryor, inherited her father's comedic genius & musical talent, but is making it her own. She made her TV debut in a recurring role on the ABC hit series "Head of The Class," starred on the Showtime series "Rude Awakening" & has appeared many times on Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson & Tavis Smiley. Her to stage credits include playing the roles of both Billie Holiday & Ella Fitzgerald. She recently finished a limited Off-Broadway run of her acclaimed one-woman show, Fried Chicken & Latkes. Her first CD, Black & White, was recently released on Uproar Comedy.
