RSVP Debuts at Arlo Hotel NoMad for Four Performances

GrumpyFILMS & PRODUCTIONS today announced details for a new live variety show and its new venue. "RSVP", an acronym for Real Sexy Variety Party, is an offshoot of the producers' very successful Brooklyn Loft Party and is landing at Arlo Hotel NoMad for four performances this February 9th and 10th, with future editions scheduled for March and April. RSVP is taking over the hotel's "Terrace Room", and limiting each performance to only 40 guests, allowing the audience to get up close to the artists.
"We have wanted to bring this type of show across the river to Manhattan for some time, but Loft Party was too big to mount in some of Manhattan's smaller venues. That's when we were connected to the folks at Arlo, and suddenly the pieces fell right into place", says producer Jason Jude Hill. "The Terrace is perfect for us because its intimacy and lodge-like vibe, coupled with the limited seating, ensure that the audience will feel engaged in the show. We're aiming to have our guests walk away feeling like they've just seen a program of exciting performances in their friend's apartment."
"One of the greatest joys of Loft Party was assembling the programs of artists," adds producer Daniel Sears, "but with only one showing of each program, it was almost too fleeting an experience. If you couldn't make that one performance, you missed it completely. We feel that presenting two shows each night for two nights actually increases the chances of catching the show while still keeping it a special event. And yes, we predict the late show will indeed get a little rowdy."
The show's inaugural host is Dave Lester, a 20-year veteran of the New York Comedy stage, who will preside over a program featuring Loft Party favorites The Great Dubini and Reformed Whores among other artists. Future editions of the show, set for March 9 & 10 and April 13 & 14, will each feature a different host and program of music, comedy, magic, burlesque, dance, prizes, and more.

About GrumpyFILMS & Productions
GrumpyFILMS is a production and development company centered in Brooklyn, NY and dedicated to creating content made for our digital age, but still with a strong influence from the proven styles of comedy that have come before. In 2009, they began their successful series of 100+ comedy videos called "Short Shorts" which has gained them a die-hard fan base and many successful partnerships. The Huffington Post even named the series one of "the best gay webseries you've never heard of."
In 2016, as part of their 10th Anniversary, they formed GrumpyProductions, which focuses on live events and performances including their modern variety experience, Brooklyn Loft Party. Regardless of the medium, they continue to combine a Yankee sensibility with a Midwestern "can-do" ethos when tackling any endeavor. Plus, they look good in tuxes and can be rented out for a nominal fee.
