54 Below welcomes Marilyn Maye in the debut of her new show "MAYE-DEN Voyage" for a two-week engagement, continuing this weekend and March 12-16, 2013. BroadwayWorld has a preview of her show in the photos below!

This past January, Maye received the Nightlife Legend Award at the 11th annual New York Nightlife Awards. From her first appearance in the spotlight as a tiny pre-teen vocalist in a series of amateur contests in Topeka, Kansas to being dubbed "A National Treasure," Marilyn Maye continues to entertain audiences with her skill of performing. With a Grammy nomination in the mid-Sixties as Best New Artist, a bevy of awards reflecting her showmanship, her illustrious singing career is still going strong after a life-time spent entertaining audiences.

The Smithsonian Institution chose her recording of "Too Late Now" (from her RCA "Lamp Is Low" album) for inclusion in its Best Performers of the Best Compositions of the 20th Century Permanent Collection, along with such other singing greats as Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland.

Marilyn's big break arrived in the mid-Fifties when Steve Allen invited her to appear on his television show. When Ed McMahon caught her cabaret act in New York City, he immediately arranged for her to appear on The Tonight Show. In 2006, Marilyn was once again "discovered" when she appeared as a special guest of The Mabel Mercer Society at New York's renowned Rose Hall at Lincoln Center. As a result of this, Marilyn has never been busier.
