Pangea presents Ken Ard's Take on the American Songbook
Broadway veteran Ken Ard returns to the cabaret stage after more than a decade across the pond. A noted star of Broadway shows such as Smokey Joe's Cafe, Starlight Express, Song and Dance, and the original company of CATS, Ard left NYC in 2002.
While living in Europe, Ard honed a cabaret persona which built ecstatic & loyal audiences from Amsterdam to Paris to Moscow. Now, accompanied by Mark Berman on the piano, Ard grabs a page from the American songbook to showcase his rich baritone voice, dapper style, and impeccable showmanship. Puppeteer Basil Twist is the special guest, and the intimate and eclectic Pangea, in the east village, is the setting for Ard's musical homecoming.
Monday June 12th, 7:30pm, $20 advance $25 at the door $20 food/drink minimum, PANGEA 178 second Ave at East 11th st 212 995 0900, www.pangeanyc.com
