Our Lady J Returns To NYC; 'Gospel for the Godless: A Benefit Concert' 9/27
You may have heard the rumors that NYC's queen of downtown gospel has relocated to the West Coast... and those rumors are quite true! In an effort to go stealth, Our Lady J now lives in the only place in the world where everyone looks like a post-op transexual: Hollywood.
But in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS, she returns to New York City for TWO VERY SPECIAL CONCERTS!

GOSPEL FOR THE GODLESS: A BENEFIT CONCERTTHE HOWL FESTIVAL presents this very special Benefit Concert for the HOWL EMERGENCY LIFE PROJECT (H.O.W.L.), a project that was created to provide emergency financial assistance and social service support to artists who have participated in the annual Howl Festival or who make their careers in New York City's East Village and Lower East Side arts community and whose work challenges the traditional boundaries of dance, theatre, music, multimedia and the spoken word.
Services include counseling and referrals for personal, family or work-related problems. Linkage to community resources for such needs as medical care, legal services, public benefits or elder care. Workshops are offered on a variety of topics and include: finding affordable housing, financial education as well as health insurance options. All door proceeds to benefit The Actors Fund for HOWL!
