OF ROOS AND REINDEER Comes to The Duplex

From the searing sun of the land down under, to the frozen tundra of Northern Minnesota, join Analisa Bell and Nichole Carey for an evening of stories and songs from two friends that grew up celebrating the holidays VERY differently.

Analisa Bell grew up on the sunny shores of Perth, Western Australia, where she spent many Christmases sweating in the bright, hot sun! Nichole Carey grew up freezing to the bone in snowy Northern Minnesota. They join forces to celebrate the Holiday season and share stories from their two polar-opposite upbringings.

The two cabaret songstresses met in 2012 whilst participating in the International Cabaret Conference at Yale University, and became fast friends! They return to The Duplex after having worked together in "From Oz to Oz", a collaborative cabaret Bell produced last year.

Featuring classic seasonal favorites along with a few unexpected surprises, this is sure to be a night you don't want to miss!

Analisa Bell studied at the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, and has since performed in a number of musicals and theatre productions in Oz, including Oklahoma, Les Miserables and The Vagina Monologues (2007 ITA Best Actress Award, Australia). As a critically acclaimed cabaret performer, she toured the cabaret and festival circuits in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth before moving to NYC at the end of 2014. She is an Alumni of the International Cabaret Conference at Yale, won the 2015 Annual Broadway Spring Festival Cabaret Competition, was a Semi-Finalist in the 2016 and 2017 MetroStar Challenges at the Metropolitan Room, and has performed at the Metropolitan Room, The Duplex and 54 Below. Nichole Carey is an accomplished cabaret vocalist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has performed at many well-respected Twin Cities music venues including Honey, Jazz Central, Vieux Carré, and the Dakota Jazz Club. She is also a published writer as well as a director and producer, having created and starred in several well-received musical revues at the Bryant Lake Bowl theatre and cabaret. She made her Chicago debut at Davenport's last Fall with her production "Girl from the North Country". She is a member of the Twin Cities Cabaret Artist Network and an alum of the prestigious International Cabaret Conference at Yale University. She is thrilled to be returning to The Duplex after making her NYC debut there last Spring.
