Natalie Joy Johnson, Molly Pope and Brian Nash are finally coming through on their threat to undertake their very own CABARET FILIBUSTER. The first of this soon-to-be legendary cabaret events will take place upstairs in The Duplex Cabaret Room - on Saturday, August 27th, 2016 at 11:30pm.

Natalie, Molly and Brian have been staples of the cabaret scene for years - and have performed on many of the same bills together. But never before has it been just the three of them headlining the evening. What began as a joke while performing together among the cresting waves of the Pacific Ocean in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - now finally comes to fruition. These three gifted musicians and storytellers, each blessed with the gift of gab, come together in front of an audience to see, "No! Really! HOW LONG can we keep going?" Natalie Joy Johnson will be rushing downtown to The Duplex following two performances that day as Pat in the 2013 Tony Award Winning Musical - Kinky Boots. Some of Natalie's credits include both Paulette Buonofante (National Tour) and Enid Hoopes (Original Broadway Cast) in Legally Blonde: the Musical, as well as bare: a pop opera (Nadia), Southern Comfort (Cori) and Silence! Molly Pope is a critically acclaimed singer and actor whose shows have played Joe's Pub, Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, Feinstein's/54 Below, Feinstein's at the Regency, Ars Nova, OBERON (A.R.T.), and the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in Australia. She is the recipient of both the 2016 Bistro award for "Creative Cabaret Artistry" and the 2016 MAC Award for Musical Comedy Performer for her show "Molly Pope Likes Your Status." She has been named a Time Out New York "Top Ten Cabaret Act of 2008" and 2012 and a Village Voice Best of NYC 2011 for "Best Singer To Turn Life Into A Cabaret." Most recently she recorded her first album, "An Audience with Molly Pope", live at Joe's Pub. Branded "one of downtown cabaret's most adventurous performers" by the New York Times and hailed as "tremendously entertaining" by The Wall Street Journal, she has also performed at The Cafe Carlyle ("Tales From The Jazz Age"), the Afterglow Festival in Provincetown, The Amber Zone at Sid Gold's Request Room, "Our Hit Parade" at Joe's Pub and as a resident artist at The Orchard Project. Brian J. Nash was most recently the Music Director of the pre-Broadway tryout of the musical Beaches at Drury Lane and Music Director and Orchestrator of the off-Broadway hit, SILENCE! The Musical and produced Bare at New World Stages. Other recent and upcoming theater projects include Kathy Najimy's Lift Up Your Skirt (off-Broadway, 2016), Mother Courage and Her Children (Classic Stage, with Duncan Sheik) , The Last 5 Years (Actor's Theater of Louisville, Asolo Rep), Crossing Brooklyn (Transport Group), and Writing Arthur at NAMT (with Kelli O'Hara and Ana Gasteyer). He is the resident musical director for Atlantis Events, for whom he has conducted concerts with Deborah Cox, Andy Bell of Erasure, Mandy Gonzales, and many others. Brian has produced albums for singer/songwriters Justin Tranter, Shanna Sharp, and Stacy Allyn Baker, He recently performed at Town Hall, the Kennedy Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Birdland with Natalie Douglas, and produced and music directed Kate Pazakis' debut album, Unzipped: Live at the Zipper for PS Classics. Brian is in extensive demand as a pianist and singer throughout NYC and has played sold out concerts of the music of Tori Amos, including the recent Broadway Sings Tori, featuring Laura Benanti and Lena Hall. His first solo album, Forever/After was released in May, 2015, and is available on iTunes.
