According to the New York Daily News, Stephen Wallem, who plays Thor in Showtime's "Nurse Jackie" will appear in the Broadway at Birdland series with "Schwartz and All", his tribute to composer Stephen Schwartz, tonight, January 21, 2013.

"Stephen's songs are a dream to sing," Wallem told the News, saying he appeared in a Loyola Univeristy production of Schwartz's Godspell. "Oh, Lord, it was so bad. I was a very tall Jesus."

The concert will tribute Schwartz in honor of his sixty-fifth birthday and will feature direction by Tony Humrichouser and musical direction by Beckie Menzie.

According to the Birdland website, "Schwartz and All celebrates the popular and more obscure works of the legendary composer including music from Godspell, Wicked, The Magic Show, Pippin, The Baker's Wife, Personals, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Children of Eden. Wallem offers traditional takes on some songs along with a few in his signature irreverent style. Schwartz and All was originally produced at Davenport's Piano Bar and Cabaret in Chicago and remounted at Don't Tell Mama in NYC. The 2012 edition at Birdland will feature updated material, the addition of bass and percussion, and surprise guests."

Outside television, Wallem's theatre credits include productions of Forever Plaid, Into the Woods, last year's Encores! concert of Pipe Dream and a 2011 one-night-only engagement, The Other Steve and Edie.
