Mikaela Bennett to Bring Golden-Age Classics, Contemporary Standards and More to Feinstein's/54 Below

Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Mikaela Bennett on August 18, 2017 at 11:30pm.

A recent graduate of the Juilliard School, Mikaela was most recently seen starring as Penelope in The Golden Apple with City Center Encores! The night will be set with a wide variety of pieces form the Golden-Age of music theater, contemporary musical theater jazz standards, songs composed by and performed with Tony nominee Jeff Blumenkrantz, and even some up-tempo Bossa Nova.

Performing alongside her will be a jazz trio, which includes David Wong (Bass), Jeb Patton (Piano), and Aaron Kimmel (Drums). Tony nominee, actor, composer, and lyricist Jeff Blumenkrantz will join Ms. Bennett as a featured guest on piano performing a few of his original compositions with Mikaela on vocals.

Mikaela Bennett will be at Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on August 18, at 11:30pm. There is a $15 - $35 cover charge and $2 Drink or $20 food and beverage minimum. Recent graduate of The Juilliard School, Mikaela Bennett made her professional stage debut this spring starring as Penelope in John Latouche and Jerome Moross's The Golden Apple with City Center Encores! She has appeared with the San Francisco Symphony and the New World Symphony, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas, for the world premiere of his new work Four Preludes on Playthings of the Wind. Mikaela has appeared in New York City's prestigious cabaret venues including Joe's pub working with Emmy- Award winning composer Lance Horne on his new works concert. Ms. Bennett joined the 'New York Festival of Song' for its Harry, Hoagy, and Harold program curated and accompanies by Steven Blier, and has worked closely with composer William Bolcom for Opera America's Composers in Concert: William Bolcom series with NYFOS. Mikaela is a native of Ottawa, Canada.
