When we often feel powerless about how we can lend a helping hand to a world in need, Kate Pfaffl and Ben Houghton have created an avenue for New Yorkers and Broadway performers to help those who need it most, by simply doing what they do best: singing their hearts out on stage.
Pfaffl and Houghton joined forces in Tamil Nadu, India as teaching artists through ASTEP (Artists Striving to End Poverty, and returned to NYC to create the Broadway Babies: Singing for the Children of the World concert series. Since then the money raised from their past two concerts has allowed them to send four music teachers to Shanti Bhavan Children's Project, with a fifth teacher arriving this summer. The upcoming concert on May 15th, features a bigger cast, bigger venue and bigger goals to help fund their projects in development for underprivileged children in South Africa and right here at home in NYC.
Help make a difference in the world. Give these beautiful children the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty as you watch Broadway stars share their voices and hearts to shine brightly in their honor.
Get your tickets today! The concert is set for Monday, May 15th at (le) Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker St, New York, NY 10012) - 8pm (doors at 7pm). $20 standing room, $30 tables, $50 VIP.
